Earlier today, Nutanix announced the inaugural group of Nutanix Tech Champions. The NTC award is similar to the VMware vExpert and Microsoft MVP community awards, rewarding members of the community on their efforts in sharing their knowledge and enabling fellow community members.

This is an awards program that recognizes Nutanix and web-scale experts for their ongoing and consistent contributions to the community and industry, and provides them with unique opportunities to further expand their knowledge, amplify their brand, and together, help shape the future of web-scale IT.

The class of 2014 consists of only 20 people. I think that although it’s a small group, small is better for a first year. That gives everyone involved enough space to hear and be heard.
Follow the complete group via this Twitter list or check each awardee out individually:

I’m thankful to Laura Whalen and her team to have made the cut. I think this is a great group of guys and I like the fact that I don’t actually already know everyone on the list, which might be a point of proof that Nutanix has made a broad selection outside many a comfort zone for this programme.

I’m excited to join Nutanix in their first year of this award, and am very curious what it’ll bring us in the coming year.
