I just noticed that my colocated server (VMware ESXi 3.5.0, build 120525) has reached an uptime of more than 100 days! Actually, the machine is running non-stop for over 9 months, but due to some critical patches on ESXi, the machine has rebooted a couple of times… How’s that for a stable machine. Beat that, Hyper-V/Xen/KVM!

This whitebox consists of the following hardware:

  • 2x Broadcom BCM5721 Gigabit LAN
  • 2x WD Caviar RAID Edition 250GB, 7200RPM, 16MB, SATAII/300 in RAID1
  • 2x Samsung Spinpoint T HD501LJ 500GB, 7200RPM, 8MB, SATAII/300 in RAID1
